One of our favorite types of signs to create for our customers are redwood cedar signs. They are great for townhome association signage and last years. We create and install them here in Buffalo, Minnesota.

For this sign our customers wanted to keep there sign smaller but still look good. We found a shape that fit what they wanted and matched colors to their logo. Post design was simple and effective. We painted the posts black so they wouldn’t distract from the sign its self. After we finished the job our customer put in some landscaping and some small solar lights to illuminate their sign at night.

The Details About Redwood Cedar Signs

We can either sandblast or route redwood cedar signs. The sign in the photo above is sandblasted. The sandblasted version gives the sign more depth with the woodgrain being dimensional. The routed version is dimensional but there isn’t any woodgrain.

All of our redwood cedar signs are first sprayed with a base primer or paint and primer. The rest of the sign is hand painted to your color specifications.

Before installation we have locates called to make sure there aren’t any issues with underground utilities. Then it’s time for installation. Typically we paint the posts on sight to ensure proper coverage. Next we install brackets and attach the sign to the posts.

Time to sit back and admire your new sign. One of the nice things about these signs is down the road when they start to fade and not look the best you can add a fresh coat of paint to brighten them up and get a sign that looks almost new.
